According to the Licking County Sheriff's Office 24-year-old Brandon Clemmons was booked into the Licking County Justice Center for Misdemeanor and Felony Charges.
At approximately 12:50 a.m. Newark Police responded to a domestic disturbance call on 224 Deo Drive. When authorities attempted to detain the subject he fled the scene.
Clemmons crashed his get a way vehicle into an AEP pole off of Vantassel Avenue. Once the Newark Police Department discovered that the residence was in the jurisdiction of the Licking County Sheriff's office they handed over the investigation to the sheriff's department.
Licking County deputies arrived to the scene where they were notified by witnesses that Clemmons may have large amounts of cash and marijuana in the vehicle.
After processing the home and car for evidence detectives say Clemmons admitted to firing a hand gun inside of the home and they found both cash and drugs in the car.
Clemmons was charged with the misdemeanor offense of carrying weapons while intoxicated and a felony charge of improper handling of a fire arm. Additional charges are possible as the investigation continues.
