Muskingum County Treasurer Carol Friel updated the county commissioner's on the status of the county's finances. Friel and the commissioner's reviewed the county's investments during their monthly meeting Monday afternoon.
Friel says everything is "right on target" and where it should be. While the county's finances are in good shape, Friel says it's important that residents pay their taxes on time.
"The one things that tax payers do need to know is that your tax bills are coming," said Friel. "They should come in the mail this week and they are due February 28th so please pay your taxes. That's very important because that's money that we need to operate the county."
Friel and the commissioner's will meet again on Feb.27.
