The Muskingum County Community Youth Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2014 Youth Grant Competition.
Last year the Youth Foundation awarded grants totaling $1,250 to two area youth organizations. This will be their second year conducting the Youth Grant Competition.
"This is sort of a junior version of the Muskingum County Community Foundation's Annual Spring Grant Competition," said Juliet Lacy, CYF Advisor and Director of Donor Services."This grant competition though is focusing solely on youth."
Grant requests may be submitted through an organization by youth who are served by the organization, or by youth groups that are non-affiliated with nonprofit organization.
"Basically we are looking for projects, not individuals, but projects that serve youth in the community," stated Lacy. "Any sort of project or activity that is in turn serving youth, that's what we're about, so that would be a good candidate."
The Community Youth Foundation is an organization focused on grant making and community service. It consists of 64 student members from 7 high schools in Muskingum County.
