Ohio officials have approved spending another 2 million dollars on road salt to replenish supplies used during the long snowy winter.  The State Controlling Board granted the request from the Ohio Department of Transportation for more than 2 million dollars to buy about 30-thousand tons of salt from Cargill De-Icing and Morton Salt Incorporated.  Spokesman Steve Faulkner says the agency has used more than one-million tons of salt this winter at a cost of nearly 100-Million dollars.
