Zanesville Police say Interstate 70 was shut down for a short time this morning after an accident. It happened around 9:30 near the 6th Street on-ramp. Police says 32-year-old Carrie Matheney of Zanesville was heading westbound when her car hydroplaned and struck a pick-up truck heading the same way. Police says the truck was driven by 40-year-old Walter Phillips of Lakeside Park, Kentucky. Officers say after impact both vehicles spun around and were facing the opposite direction. Police say Matheney was cited with failure to control. Matheney was also transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The Highway was shut down for between 15 and 20 minutes while emergency crews responded and the scene was cleared of the wreckage.
