Artists from the Zanesville Appalachian Art Project are gearing up for their Annual Art Auction.
Every year the organization has the event to raise money for upkeep at the gallery. This year with more than 60 donated pieces, ZAAP leaders say there is something for everyone.
"We have originals, we have fine art ,we have whimsical art, we have prints, books. We have some art supplies that are all going up for auction, " said ZAAP Director, John Taylor-Lehman.
The auction will be held on May 2nd directly after the First Friday Art Walk for that week , but if you would like to preview the pieces up for display you can visit their gallery this Friday from 5 p.m to 8 p.m.
" On our typical First Fridays, we have live music and this Friday we will have Dave Joseph. The auction isn't until May 2nd, but all the work is up before the month of May so people can come in and they can put a bid in during the month of April," said Lehman.
On Friday ZAAP will provide food and refreshments for guests and the gallery encourages the public to come out and support a growing organization in the community. Organizers are hoping to to raise $4,000.
