Balloons, music and a cash give away took place on Friday to celebrate the grand opening of the Bayer Heritage Federal Credit Union.

You might remember Zane Trace Federal Credit Union, the previous owner of the Ridge Avenue building. The two entities merged together.

"So we moved forward under the name Bayer Heritage Federal now, it's the same location, same staff although there are added resources now because Bayer Heritage is a much larger credit union," said CEO Robert Burrow.

Some of the added resources include home mortgages, home equity loans and small business loans for start up projects, Burrow says their goal is to help people achieve their dreams.

"It may just be opening a checking account for the first time, it maybe funding your kids college education, or buying that first house all of those things are important to people it's not just those things, it's the dream behind it, " said Burrow.

Burrow says the credit union is located at 1117 Ridge Avenue.
