The Newark Police Department says that more than 90 acts of vandalism were reported to their office early Sunday Morning.
According to Newark Police Sergeant, Burt Gliatta at approximately 8:30 a.m., residents began to call in to the station to report damages to both their cars and homes.
"Windows damaged, mirrors were damaged, there were a couple of houses that I think have been shot at from what appears to be bb guns that were used in all of the reports so far, " said Gliatta.
The vandalism took place throughout the city and now the department is ready to take action against the crime.
"We have notified our captain, sergeant and detectives and right now we are investigating the incident, at this point there is no suspect information, but all complaints are being investigated, " said Gliatta.
Officials say incidents similar to Sunday's have happened in the past and the department is asking for the public's support. If you are a victim of the most recent spree of vandalism, you are encouraged to call the department to file a report.
