The Easter bunny made his way to Zanesville for Good Friday to meet with all of the children visiting Christ's Table.
This is the first time that the Easter bunny visited the food pantry and dozens of kids lined up to hug and take pictures with the friendly white rabbit.
"I think maybe the word got out that the Easter bunny was going to be here and that's fine because it gave all the kids that maybe wouldn't have the opportunity to see the Easter bunny be here have some personal time be able to sit on his lap, " said Executive Director, Keely Warden.
Along with the Easter bunny volunteering his time, community members painted more than 800 eggs to give to children and the kids also received candy and treat bags to take home. Wild Wood Church is also offering a special Easter meal coming up on Sunday.
"We looked at the calendar and we saw it was Easter, we thought maybe they would want to reschedule and they said no it's the Lord's day and we are going to be here for the people." said Warden.
The dinner will be held at 12:30 p.m. and guests can expect all the holiday trimmings.
