Peoples Bank celebrated the grand opening of their highly anticipated Zanesville branch.
Last November the bank moved from its Zane Street location to Maple Avenue in hopes to provide easier access to customers and more services. The move and remodel is an estimated 1.3 million dollar investment in the community.
" It's really in the center of commerce and we bring a full array of banking services, we bring insurance , we bring investments and we bring concern and compassion for the community, " said Peoples Bank CEO, Chuck Suleryski.
One way the bank is reaching out to our area is by giving one local charity a gift of $ 2,500 to use towards their operating expenses. Suleryski says giving back is a cause close to his heart.
" That's very important to us without our communities and our communities getting stronger, we are not going to be as good of a bank or as good of a corporate citizens as we can," said Suleryski.
During the event, employees performed a ceremonial ribbon cutting and enjoyed refreshments. City officials from the chamber of commerce and the mayor's office also attended the event.
