Lumbertown is making shopping easier for its customers with the grand opening of a new drive thru building.
After a year of planning, a $300,000 investment and three months of construction, the new addition is ready for use. Workers say there are a variety of items for shoppers to purchase at arms reach.
" Pretty much anything you need, lumber, hardware, all your boards insulation, dry wall and anything you need for your home improvement projects, " said Project Manager, Sam Paul.
Paul says that having the new drive thru makes shopping for customers easier and more efficient.
"Just pull into the gate, drive down, load it up, stop on your way out and pay for it when you leave. You don't have to put it in a cart and drag it through the store, you just load it right in your vehicle and drive away, " said Paul.
To celebrate the mayor, Lumbertown employees and the chamber of commerce performed a ceremonial ribbon cutting where owner ,Jim Cappano was recognized. Along with the drive thru, Lumbertown also has a brand new showroom that features a variety of home improvement items including windows, paints, flooring and more.
