Rainy conditions made for slick roads and poor driving conditions this afternoon.
The South Zanesville Fire Department responded to a call around 1PM of a vehicle that hydroplaned and rolled into the yard of a home at 2290 Pinkerton.
"Wet road conditions, coming around the corner maybe a little too fast, just hydroplaned maybe and just went right on it's side," said J.T. Roberts, Firefighter for South Zanesville Department.
The vehicle rested on the driver's side...Driver, Mark Verasso of Newark, was able to escape through the rear right passenger door. He did not sustain any injuries.
"Upon arrival community ambulance was on scene had the patient out, we checked the car. There wasn't anything we could do"
AJ's towing assisted in up-righting the vehicle which did not appear to sustain much damage. State Highway Patrol investigated the incident. Verasso was wearing his seat belt.
