Snouffer Funeral Home held their Memorial Day Service of Remembrance this afternoon.
Families and friends gathered to pay tribute to men and women who gave their lives serving our country, as well as those who continue to do so today.
"What this is, is for families to get a chance to come in on Memorial Day and have an opportunity to remember their loved one," said Josh Snouffer, Funeral Director and Owner.
Special music was performed by Earl and Jan Corrothers of Independence Kentucky. Reverend Doctor Steven Fewell of Central Trinity United Methodist Church also shared a message of hope.
"It gives families an emotional time to get together, where they're not actually here for the funeral but there has been some time passed and it lets them share with other families at the same time that have gone through the same circumstances," stated Snouffer.
During the service names recorded in the "Book of Remembrance" were read aloud. This was the third annual Service of Remembrance for the Snouffer Funeral Home.
