The Salvation Army is teaming up with the Renner Theater to throw a summer splash musical.
The "Beach Party" musical will take place on Friday June 27th in the gymnasium at the Salvation Army. The Renner Theater is bringing all the fun and entertainment to transform the evening into a night on the beach.
" What we've been doing the last few summers here at the Salvation Army is helping them out raising funds," said Rich Tolliver
President of the Renner Theater. "We've done theme concerts. We do a one evening thing, we have a lot of volunteers and they have an auction in conjunction with that. We just provide the staging, the lighting, and the entertainment, and then we just have a good time."
A prime rib dinner will be served to everyone who attends. Proceeds from the fundraiser will aid the Salvation Army and the numerous ways the help support the community.
" The Salvation Army is involved in so many things," said Mindy Mccloy, Salvation Army Office Coordinator. "We have an emergency shelter, we have a food pantry, a clothing room, we have a soup kitchen where we serve dinner Monday through Friday. Our clothing room is open Wednesday through Friday from nine to noon, And our food pantry is open five days a week "
