An award winning Zanesville camp is gearing up for this year's session which begins Monday.
CASS Camp runs through Friday at Hallowed Hills. While it is celebrating its 11th anniversary, camp CEO Cassandra McDonald said this year's camp is new and improved.
"CASS Camp stands for Creating Artists, Stimulating Success," she said. "For several years we were just a performing camp, but now we are slash business. So we're business, art, and music. We have a business developmental side as well to conjure in those that may not think they have an artistic ability. So they come here for the business, but once they're here, the two merge. It's pretty neat."
Campers will work with speech, debate, etiquette, and leadership on the business side. For performance, students will learn about music, voice, art, and will even have the chance to produce their own CD or DVD by the week's end. With a wide range of activities and experts on hand, McDonald said the camp offers something for everyone.
"It's for anybody and everybody with talent or without because everyone needs to know something about business, no matter what area you're in. And also, we cater to autistic and special needs students."
McDonald said it still isn't too late to register for camp. You can register in person Monday or by calling 888-204-4277. The camp is open to anyone grades K-12.
