Northside Pharmacy on the Maysville Pike is hosting a fun filled safety event this week and they are inviting you to attend.
This Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. the Think First Program will take place at the pharmacy. The event will feature free safety inspections and educational tools.
" They are going to be doing a ten point vehicle inspection and they are also going to have a driving simulator set up so people can see what its like distracted driving," said Clinical Coordinator at Genesis, Marion Lazar.
People who participate will receive a coupon for a free lunch and will learn a few tips to keep them safe throughout the summer.
" Helmets for the motorcycles, cell phones put them down when you are in your vehicle if need be. If you have to take a phone call or a text pull over and do it. We just want people to really look out for other drivers and each other, " said Lazar.
The program is a joint initiative between Genesis Trauma Services, AAA and Northside Pharmacy. The car inspection will take place again from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the driving simulator will be open to the public until 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
