A former Crooksville teacher, who was accused of kissing a student has been sentenced to 45 days in jail.
Danielle Lusk was charged with contributing to the unruliness of a minor. According to court documents, she pled no contest on Friday in Perry County Court. The judge sentenced Lusk to 180 days in jail with 135 suspended, as well as two years probation and a $500 fine.
Crooksville Schools Superintendent Russ McGlothlin said he was made aware by the Perry County Sheriff's Department that it was investigating a situation involving the 29-year-old teacher and a female student. McGlothlin said it was reported to him that Lusk admitted to kissing the female student, in school and outside of school. Lusk resigned from her position last month.
Lusk must also complete a mental health assessment and have no contact with the juvenile victim as part of her sentence.
