The Zanesville Country Club will be hosting its first ever Community Junior Golf Clinic this month.
Boys and girls at any skill level, ages 10 to 16 are encouraged to come out and take part in the experience. Those who take advantage of the opportunity will have the chance to be taught by professional golfers, and will be able to develop three different skill areas.
Mike Durant, head golf professional at the Country Club says, "We're going to have three parts to this clinic. There's going to be a full swing clinic on the driving range, a chipping and pitching clinic on our practice short game practice facility, and putting clinic on our putting green."
The golf clinic will be held on July 15th and will run from 10AM to 12PM. There are sixty spots available, twenty for each section, so you are asked to register at 9:30AM that morning. Durant says that he hopes this clinic will inspire children.
"We just want to invite all the kids and have an opportunity to learn the game of golf at Zanesville Country Club. Because it is a private club, but we want to open it up and share with our youth in the community and inspire them to get out of their homes, off of their devices and pick up a golf club."
