An ATV accident injured three Newark women early Saturday afternoon.

According to the Coshocton County Sheriff's Office, 24-year-old Lauren Heath was riding her 4-wheeler up a dirt hill at Walhonding Hills Campground when it flipped over backwards on her and her passenger, 25-year-old Jessica Jacobs. Angela Blanchard, 50, was riding behind the two on another 4-wheeler. She tried to back up to avoid being hit when her 4-wheeler also flipped onto her. Both Heath and Blanchard were flown by Med Flight to Grant Hospital in Columbus. While the extent of the injuries are not yet known, the sheriff's office said Heath sustained injuries to her head, Blachard had leg injuries, and Jacobs had only minor injuries. No other word on the cause of the accident at this time.
