Those who travel up Maple Avenue have likely noticed the changes being made to the building formerly occupied by Ruby Tuesday, and that's because a new restaurant is getting set to open.
Roosters, a restaurant billed as "a fun, casual joint," has taken over the building, and crews have been hard at work throughout the summer to make the restaurant ready for its fall opening.
"Everything's going great right now," said Roosters Regional Manager Dani Pheiffer. "It's coming along as progressed, as we intended. It's going to open September 15. We're doing all of our open interviews this week--Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10-7. So we'll be doing all of our hiring on those three days."
The restaurant will have around 50 tables inside as well as a patio with additional seating. They will also have around 38 to 40 televisions making Roosters a great place to go catch the game. Pheiffer said Zanesville is the perfect fit for their company.
"We heard that it's a great area," she said. "We heard that it's very friendly, very local driven, which we're very interested in. We're into the community a lot, and we really like the area."
Roosters will offer a wide range of food including pizzas, salads, sanwiches and, of course, wings. There are currently around 40 Roosters locations throughout the Ohio Valley. Pheiffer said the Zanesville location will employ 100 to 120 workers.
