Two in Custody After Bank Robbery on Maple Avenue

The Zanesville Police Department is continuing to investigate a robbery a that occurred in Zanesville Saturday evening.

The robbery occurred around 6:30 p.m. at the Huntington Bank at 2801 Maple Avenue. ZPD said two subjects approached a vehicle at the ATM and then forced the occupants of the vehicle to withdraw an undisclosed amount of cash at gunpoint.

The subjects then removed the cash and fled the area in a dark colored SUV. The SUV was later located on Interstate 70 near Pataskala, and the subjects were taken into custody. They are currently at the Zanesville City Jail pending formal charges.
