ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Animal Shelter Society's Executive Director Jody Murray met with the Zanesville Noon Rotary Club Tuesday.

 NASHPORT, Ohio- Local and state dignitaries gathered to view the completion of major improvements at Dillon State Park Tuesday.
Ohio Department of Natural Resources Director Jim Zehringer, Senator Troy Balderson, Zanesville Mayor Jeff Tilton, as well as other community leaders were on hand for the unveiling.

Newark Police seek help in identifying a robbery suspect.

Authorities said that they're searching for a white male, wearing a green plaid shirt who robbed the Game Stop at North 21st Street in Newark on Monday.

The suspect left in a white four door car.

The Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol announced an OVI checkpoint will take place this week.

The county where the checkpoint will take place will be announced the day prior to the checkpoint and the location will be announced the morning of the checkpoint.

The Patrol said if you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink.

A Zanesville man facing sex charges involving a minor less than 10 years-old changes his plea. The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says that 50-year-old William Lewis pled guilty to one count each of rape, gross sexual imposition and endangering children. Common Pleas Judge Kelly Cottrill continued Lewis’ bond at 500-thousand dollars and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

NEWARK, Ohio - Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for anyone that has information that leads to the arrest of two men wanted for a Ross County murder.

Ross County Sheriff’s Office has issued warrants for the arrest of 36-year-old James Nelson II and 38-year-old Jesse Hanes. They are wanted to for the murder of 62-year-old Theodore Timmons of Londonderry, Ohio.

Parents said goodbye to their kindergartners while they jumpstarted their academic year at Zane Grey Elementary.
