The Southeastern Ohio Symphony Orchestra wrapped up their 2014-2015 concert season Sunday.

Beautiful sounds of piano and strings filled the tall ceilings and captivated the audience at Brown Chapel on the Muskingum University Campus. We had the chance to speak to Dr. Laura W. Schumann, Music Director and Conductor for the orchestra. Schumann described the evenings musical line up.

Highway resurfacing will cause lane restrictions near Gratiot starting Monday, April 19th. 

Crews will be resurfacing lanes at the Gratiot interchange and five miles east in Muskingum County. According to the Ohio Department of Transportation there will also be resurfacing on Mount Perry Road at the Gratiot interchange.

Every other year, the Thursday Music Club hosts a celebration concert. 

It started a few years ago when the club and Secrest Auditorium wanted to showcase musical talent in Zanesville. This concert occurred this weekend.

The 12th annual Bet on Baylee event was held at the Perry County Fairgrounds Saturday.

Hundreds of community members gathered for an entire day to support those suffering with mitochondrial disease. Baylee Thomas, 15 years old now has been suffering from the disease since she was 9 months old. There was a $10 fee at the door to enter and enjoy a whole lot of fun, family and friends. Shortly after 12:00 p.m. Saturday, the Heath Police Department responded to a car versus motorcycle injury accident. 

The accident occurred near Mathew's Ford on Hopewell Drive. According to the Heath Police Department, 64-year-old Michael Kern of Butler, Ohio turned left from the access road for the Wendy's Restaurant. Thinking green is what Ohio University Zanesville's Green Bobcats Environmental Club aimed for during its 6th annual Community Recycle Day. Muskingum University announced today that University President, Anne C. Steele will retire next year. 

When Steele took over the presidency in 2000, she became the twentieth president and also the first female president at the school. An early Saturday morning accident is under investigation by the Coshocton County Sheriff's Office. 

Officials received a call reporting the one vehicle rollover near 20800 County Road 18 in Perry Township just before 12:30 a.m. 

Deputies said the vehicle driven by 21-year-old Joshua Redifer, of Zanesville, was traveling east on County Road 18 when he lost control and went off the right side of the roadway. 

Officials said his vehicle then slid along the road...
