Representatives from the Columbus Auto Show were in Zanesville today showcasing a few of the vehicles that will be featured in the 2005 Columbus International Auto Show.

Melissa Dehl, Auto Show Manager, says that they will have a selection of cars starting from economy type vehicles to high-end parcels, basically everything that you can find at any dealership.

Muskingum County Children Services Officials met with County Commissioners today, to give them an annual update.

Jackie Bonifield, Public Information Officer, says the agency has been effective.

Today was the final day to the “Bowl for kids sake” event held by the Big Brother and Big Sister Organization.

Megan Mortimer, Representative to the Organization, says the money that is donated goes to help put a Big in the life of a Little.

Local cub scouts gathered together today to celebrate their annual “Father/Son Cake Bake”, at the Dresden United Methodist Church.

Karen Riley, Chartered Representative that sponsors the even, says that family, friends, and businesses around the region, came together to bid on the cakes that were made.

Downtown Zanesville went back into time today, as the first ever Civil War show was held at the Zanesville Muskingum County Welcome Center.

Many different kinds of war artifacts adorned the Welcome Center today. Don Moody, President of the Muskingum County Civil War Association, says he wanted to educate the public on the Civil War.

Despite the falling snow and cold temperatures, the “Spring Fever” Home and Garden symposium turned out to be a success today.

Held at the Zane State/OUZ Campus Center, the symposium showcased three speakers, each with a different focus on the world of gardening. Doctor Martin Quigley is the Director of the Arboretum at the University of Central Florida, as well as a professor of Biology. The 1485th Transportation Company will now be even more ready for action thanks to a new Readiness Center at the Richard Downing Airport in Coshocton, which was showcased today.
