SOUTH ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Riesbeck’s in South Zanesville is getting ready for its yearly summer safety event.

This is the fifth year they have put on the event to educate the public about summertime do’s and don’ts. Representatives from the Sheriff’s Office, the Animal Shelter Society, Genesis HealthCare, and the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department will be there for safety demonstrations.

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A Muskingum County Sheriff’s K-9 that suffered from heat exhaustion has made a full recovery and is back with his handler.

It happened around 6:30 just east of Zanesville and forced the closing of the eastbound lanes for 90 minutes.
