A Columbus man charged in a home invasion investigation enters a plea in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.

In front of  Judge Kelly Cottrill, 24-year-old Christopher Hendricks plead guilty to aggravated burglary, seven counts of kidnapping, five counts of aggravated robbery and have a weapon under disability.

His bond was continued at $5 million and a pre-sentence investigation was ordered.

Workers have begun constructing a stability barrier in front of a deteriorating dam at Buckeye Lake.

The 4.1-mile earthen dam is nearly 180 years old and has been weakened by several hundred homes, docks and other structures built into it.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers concluded the dam is at risk of failing, and the state has kept the water level low as a precaution.

It plans to build a stability berm between the existing dam and the water by summer 2016.

The Newark Police Department needs your help in solving an aggravated burglary.

Authorities report that between October 20-21 a suspect or suspects entered a home in the 100 block of Leonard Avenue while the occupants were sleeping and stole a number of items including credit and debit cards, a 42 inch plasma TV and alcohol.

 The Zanesville Fire Department said a fire on the corner of Brighton and Ridge Ave. Sunday night remains under investigation but were able to provide preliminary details.

The Zanesville Fire Department responded to the call just after 10 p.m. that evening and Chief Waltemire said the blaze was located on the first level of the house. There appeared to be a lot of smoke, but Waltemire said it only took about ten minutes to control.
