Vivian J. Davis graduated into Glory, Thursday September 24, 2009 at her home. She was born July 1, 1919 in Zanesville to the late Frank and Nancy Hooper Havens.
Vivian’s joy came from her relationship with the Lord and spending times with her family. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and was the happiest when surrounded by her family. She was a long time active member of Meadow Farm United Methodist Church, a member of its Fellowship Sunday School Class, United Methodist Women and enjoyed cooking and serving in the church kitchen. She was also a member of the Valley View Garden Club.
She leaves behind a daughter, Judy A. Wilkins, sons: Tom (Pam) Davis and Randy (Teri) Davis, daughter-in-law, Josephine Davis; grandchildren: Susan (Dick) Reese, Mary Jo (Mike) Ogg, Jennifer (Shawn) Roberts, Stephanie (Randy) Gebhart, Tim (Stephanie) Davis; great grandchildren: Sadie Reese, Michala Ogg, Abigail, Nathaniel and Ella Roberts, Bradley and Katelyn Gebhart, Lydia and McLaren Davis and twins, Connor and Logan Davis; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen E. Davis who died May 12, 1982, a brother, Frank C. Havens, a sister, Elda Fern Shelton and a son-in-law, Charles W. Wilkins.
Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday September 28, 2009 at the Bryan and Snider Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday September 29th at the funeral home with Pastor Doris Flynn officiating. Committal services will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
