Tammy Lynn Lones went home to be with the Lord after a short but courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, October 31. 2009 Tammy passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 1, 1960 and was raised in Frazeysburg graduating from Tri-Valley High School. She had been respected in the banking community for over 30 years, most recently working at The Community Bank as the North Zanesville Office Manager and Vice President of Consumer and Real Estate Loans.

She was one of six children born to Verlin “Mitch” Mitchell and the late Linda (Skidmore) Mitchell and was the beloved wife of Steve Lones for 25 years. Tammy will forever be remembered and sadly missed by her beloved son Joseph (Stacey) Snider of New Concord, devoted brother Doug Mitchell of Frazeysburg, loving sisters Melissa Dye of Frazeysburg, Voniessa (Bret) Brownfield of Thornville, Stephanie (Jeff) Downing of Zanesville, treasured grandchildren Mason Adam, Porter Joseph and Brielle Nicole Snider, caring in-laws June and Bob Lones, Mike (Lori) Lones, Jennifer (Jon) Agin and Matt (Beth) Lones and several nieces and nephews along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her.

In addition to her mother, she will be joining her sister Kimberly Mitchell and her brother Mark Mitchell in Heaven.

Tammy was a member of Meadow View Church of Christ in Frazeysburg and the Zanesville Business Women’s Association. She loved being with her grandchildren and family, traveling, having fun with friends and laughing. Tammy touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.

Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, November 4 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Snouffer Funeral Home at 1150 Military Road, Zanesville. Funeral services will be at the Snouffer Chapel on Thursday, November 5 at 10:30 am with Pastor Sam Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in the Hanover Cemetery. The family requests all donations be sent to Meadow View Church of Christ, 6750 Raiders Road, Frazeysburg, Ohio 43822.
