James Elmer Imler, 72 of Junction City, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on Saturday December 5, 2009.
James was born in South Perry on December 17, 1936 to the late Oral and Flora Gaylor Imler. James attended New Lexington Baptist Church and served as a proud member of The National Guard. He was retired from Anchor Hocking, Lancaster, where he had 44 years of dedicated service.
James is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Gloria Imer; daughters Heather (Mark) Tracey of Junction City and Robin (Bob) Shonk of TN; sons Todd (Hilda) Salsburey of Carrollton, Michael Salsburey of Junction City, and Randy (Diane) Roby of Lancaster; 13 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Edward Imler, and sisters Opal Conrad, Wanda Dunn, and Shirley Eppley.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday December 9, 2009 from 2 pm to 4 pm and from 6 pm to 8 pm at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, CROOKSVILLE CHAPEL, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville. The funeral service will be held on Thursday December 10, 2009 at the funeral home with Pastor Art Minnehan officiating. Burial will follow in The Rose Hill Cemetery.
