Harry Richard Fisher, 84 of Crooksville, passed away Tuesday December 22, 2009 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House.
Harry was born in Cannelville on October 24, 1925 to the late Lewis and Alice Dozer Fisher. Harry was retired from The Morgan Local School District where he worked as a bus driver. He also worked at the potteries and as a farmer. He enjoyed woodworking. Harry served his country and protected our freedom as a member of The United States Navy during WWII.
Harry is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Alice Snider Fisher whom he married on April 12, 1947; sons Gary (Becky) Fisher of Zanesville and Larry Fisher of Crooksville; grandson Greg Fisher of Zanesville; granddaughter Karen (Tracey) Ellis of Grove City; great-granddaughter Elizabeth Fisher; great-grandson Matt Ellis; several nieces and nephews; a brother Jim Fisher of Zanesville; and his faithful companion Tiny his dog.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Calvin and Don Fisher.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday December 26, 2009 from 11 am to 2 pm at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, CROOKSVILLE CHAPEL, 207 Burley Street, Crooksville. The funeral service will also be held on Saturday December 26, 2009 at 2 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Al Laese officiating. Burial will follow in The Dutch Hill Cemetery.
