HILLIS & HARDWICK FUNERAL HOME OBITUARY:
Dorothy L. Freiermuth, 90 of Zanesville died 11:30 PM Monday, May 03, 2010 at Cedar Hill Care Center in Zanesville following a short illness.
She was born Friday, November 07, 1919 in Zanesville the daughter of Walter Phillip and Mary Faye(James) Freiermuth.
She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister and also helped as office receptionist. She was Valedictorian of her class in 1937 from St. Nicholas HIgh School, then she graduated from Meredith Business College & worked for a number of government offices including The V.A. in Zanesville, Office of Defense Transportation, Air Force Base in Cambridge, then started with Muskingum County probate court where she retired in 1983 as Chief Deputy Clerk after over 40 years service. She was the oldest member and charter member of the Greater Zanesville Singers. Dorothy also volunteered at Genesis Hospital. A long time member of the IAAP and just recently having received her 51 year service award..
She is survived by a sister Mary Anne Blake of Zanesville, a niece Bev (Joe) Olah of Zanesville, Tim (Brenda) Blake of Nashport and Greg Blake of Zanesville, two great nieces Stacy Maurer and Tayler Ann Blake; and three great nephews Kevin Blake, Alec Blake and Caden Blake; and one great great nephew Evan Maurer. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 AM on Friday, May 07, 2010 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 144 North Fifth Street Zanesville with Fr. Jordan Turano, O.P. as celebrant. Burial will conclude in the Mt. Olive Cemetery Zanesville OH .
