Richard Lee Tyo, 68, of Zanesville passed away at 4:00 am on Monday July 19th, 2010, at his home following a lengthy illness.Dick was born February 22, 1942 in Zanesville and is the son of the late John Franklin and Clarice N. (Smith) Tyo. He married Dawna D. Lovejoy on Wednesday July 17, 1965 and was a member of the Cornerstone Full Gospel Church. Dick served in the U.S. Army as a combat engineer at Fort Campbell, Ky from 1960 to 1963, and was employed by the U.S. Cable Construction and was co owner of Tyos Boarding Home. He enjoyed fishing and hunting for mushrooms. He loved his dogs Frosty and Rocky.
Dick is survived by his wife Dawna of the home. He was four brothers, Raymond (Gretna) Hostutler ofRoanoke, Va, William F. (Ruth) Tyo, Butch (Becky) Tyo and Roger (Cam) Tyo all of Zanesville. Two sisters, Patricia A. Bromley of Zaneviile and Samantha M. (Dave) Stoneburner of Newark, Three Step sisters: Randy Crawmer of Zanesville, Sherry Rath og East Fultonham, Ginger Smith of Florida.
In addition to his parents, Dick was preceeded in death by one son and one daughter Dreama Lynn Tyo, Two brothers Johnny Hostutler and Randy Savage.
Friends may call at the Thompson Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls today from 5 to 8 and on Wednesday from 12 to 1 with the funeral at 1 at the funeral home with Rev Steve Harrop officiating and burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. VFW Post 1058 will hold military services at the cemetery.
