Lester Wayne “Lecie” Prouty II 50 of Adamsville, passed away at his home Thursday, July 29, 2010. He was born Sept. 30, 1959 to Lester Wayne and Nancy Lyons Prouty. He was a former heavy equipment operator for the Conesville Power Plant. He was a Muskingum County 4-H advisor, he loved Gardening, watching his kids play sports, spending time with his grandchildren, and his laughter filled the hearts of many.
He is survived by his loving wife Jennifer Swinehart Prouty of the home, two daughters Melissa Prouty of Bellevue, OH and Ashley (Kyle) Kistler of Heath, OH, four sons Dustin (Elizabeth) Prouty, Adam Prouty, Austin Prouty, and Tyler Prouty all of Norwich, his father Lester Wayne (Trudy) Prouty of Norwich, his mother Nancy Lyons (Gary) Kearns of Zanesville, four brothers Tim (Kim) Prouty of Zanesville, Alan (Julie) Prouty of Norwich, Lynn (JoAnna) Kearns of Austin, TX, and Rob (Tiffany) Shriver of Pataskala, a sister Misty (Danny) Ryan of Zanesville Four grandchildren Mason Prouty, Landyn Prouty, Carson Kistler, and Isabella Rimboch. His grandmother Betty Lyons of Zanesville, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother in law Sue Bryson and grandparents Bill Lyons and Merle (Josephine) Prouty.
Calling hours will be 2-4 & 6-8 on Saturday July 31 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held in the Snouffer Chapel at 2pm on Sunday, with Pastor Jim Williams officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery near Adamsville.
