Marilyn I. Spiker, 73, of Blue Rock, passed away at 9:22 am Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Genesis Hospital, Good Samaritan Campus.
Marilyn was born October 7th 1936 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Edward R and Irene (Sullivan) Dearinger. She worked as an Environmental Technician for Genesis Health Care, she enjoyed sewing, canning and helping her family and friends. She attended the Living Word Assembly of God Church in Gaysport.
Marilyn is survived by her son Dean Spiker of Zanesville; her grandchildren Erica and Hannah; her great grandchildren Karma and Kamden; four brothers Dick (Veda) Dearinger, Carl Dearinger (Marsha), Randy (Lenora) Dearinger all of Blue Rock and Douglas (Becky) Dearinger of IN., nine nieces and nephews and her special K-9 companion Ruben.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Spiker who passed away in 1968, her sister Virginia Thomas, her brother Eddie Dearinger, her niece Kim Krause and her nephew Jeff Thomas.
Visitations will be 2 to 5 pm Sunday September 12th 2010 at the Thompson-Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be 1 pm Monday with Pastor Joe Rolland officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
