HILLIS & HARDWICK FUNERAL HOME OBIT:
Fred M. Lattimer, 74 of Nashport died 1:05PM Saturday, October 9, 2010, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, while surrounded by his loving family due to complications following heart surgery. He was born Tuesday, July 07, 1936 in Columbus, the son of Fredrick B. and Ethel (Petty) Lattimer. He was married on Saturday, November 10, 1956 to Sharon L. (Liller) Lattimer.
Fred retired from Ameritech in 1991 after 37 years of service. Then he worked with the JTM Food Group for 18 years after his retirement. Fred cherished spending time with his family and friends, enjoyed the outdoors, sports, including being an avid buckeye fan, visiting the ocean, cars, motorcycle riding, was an animal lover and especially loved his dogs.
In addition to his loving wife of 54 years, Fred is survived by two sons Dave (Kim) Lattimer of London and Steve (Caryl) Lattimer of Dresden, seven grandchildren Chad, Kurt, Matt, Cole and Kameron Lattimer; and Jeremi and Jordan Eveland; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death, in addition to his parents was a sister: Phyllis Fischer.
Fred's family will receive friends from 1:00pm till 2:00pm with Memorial Service to immediately follow at 2:00pm on Saturday October 16th at the Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave. Zanesville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or the Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
