Michael A. Botkin, 47, of Zanesville, formerly from Adamsville, passed away at Forest View Health Center on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 5:15 a.m. after suffering from liver failure.
Michael was born in Lima, Ohio July 1, 1963, the son of Nancy and Orien Botkin. Michael grew up in Zanesville. He graduated from West Muskingum High School in 1982. Michael worked for the Longaberger Basket Company for 28 years in staining and other various departments. Mike lived in the Adamsville area for the past 20 years. His hobbies were cars, music, guitars, and collecting antiques.
He is survived by his loving mother, Nancy Botkin, brother: David (Linda) Botkin; sister: Remyblu (David) Parsons of Zanesville; his estranged wife, Robin Botkin and her two daughters: Stefany and Jamie of Adamsville. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Katie and Austin Botkin, Jonathan Botkin, Nicholas McDonald, Samuel and Craig Parsons, and Kristine and Alex Grindley; one aunt, Jayne Allbritton of Sanford, Fl. and many close friends.
Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 6, 2010 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W. Military Rd., Zanesville, Oh. where a viewing and memorial service which will take place. The Memorial Service will be 7 p.m. in the Snouffer Chapel with Dr. Dennis Baker officiating. Michael requested a caring cremation therefore there will not be a burial service. Memorial contributions can be made in Michael’s name to the Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care, 713 Forest Ave., Zanesville, OH. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
