THOMPSON-FARUS FUNERAL HOME
Blaine M. Stutes, 76, of Duncan Falls, passed away 11:22 pm on January 28, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Blaine was born January 18, 1935 in Zanesville the son of the late Harry and Nellie (Enochs) Stutes.
Blaine worked as an Electrical Engineer for the Ohio Ferro Alloy in Philo until transferring to Montgomery, Alabama where he worked for Simetco (Ohio Ferro Alloy) until retiring in May 1987. After retiring, he went directly to the Globe Metallurgical in Beverly, Ohio where he retired in Jan 2000.
He is a member of Cornerstone South Full Gospel Church in McConnelsville. Blaine was an avid hunter and previously served on the Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department.
Blaine is survived by his wife Sylvia (Celnar )Stutes, whom he married June 19, 1955, his sons Tim (Teresa) Stutes of Duncan Falls, Scot (Robin) Stutes of Duncan Falls, his daughters Susan (Kevin) Yurich of Zanesville, Kim (Bill) Smith of Philo and Jana (Don) Bell of Duncan Falls; a sister Joy Homman of Newark; grandchildren: Jason (Sadie) Stutes, Jared (Kellie) Stutes, Jeremey Stutes (Jamie Young), Cory and Christopher Stutes; Billy Smith, Ashlee (Jesse) Matson, Abbee (Josh) Whiteman, Jenny (Ethan) Heiney, Lindsay Beebe (Clint Mohler) and Matthew (Teri) Beebe; Cody and Cady Bell; 14 great grandchildren, a great granddaughter on the way; and his pet cat Snoopy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Neva Davis and Sharon Stutes, and an infant grandson Stephen G. Beebe Jr.
Visitations will be from 5 to 8 Monday, January 31st and from 11 to 1 Tuesday, February 1st at the Thompson-Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 pm with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
