Carl “Jim” Paxton, 64, of Florence Avenue, Zanesville, passed away Feb 7, 2011 at 10:02 AM at Genesis Hospital, Good Samaritan Campus.

Jim was born August 19, 1946 in Zanesville, the son of Ellen Wheeler of Zanesville and the late Lloyd Paxton. He retired as a truck driver working for Pepsi for 21 years and Copley’s Trucking for 16 years.
Jim is survived by 2 sons Matthew Paxton and Susan; & Mark (Kayla) Paxton of Zanesville; 1 daughter Michelle (Robert) Bailey of Zanesville; his grandchildren Caylee, Megan, Breianna, Mattalyn, Kayden, Olivia, Michael & Justin; his brothers Paul Paxton of Newark, Jeff Nabb of Zanesville and David Nabb (Mary Jane) of Thornville; his sisters Bonnie (John) Shawger of Zanesville, Lindy (Kevin) King of WA, Beverly (Dale) Porter of FL, Mary May of Alledonia, Shirley (Dave) Burtnett of Zanesville, Virginia (Jerry) Lewis of Zanesville; step sister Martha (Joe) Simon of Zanesville; several step-brothers and step-sisters, nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to father he is preceded in death by his wife Audrey Paxton who passed away November 20, 2010 and a son Jimmy Paxton and his brothers George Paxton, Richard Nabb.
Visitations will be 9 to 11 am, Wednesday, February 9th at Thompson-Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be 11 am. Burial will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to help with expenses to the Paxton Fund, c/o Citizens National Bank, PO Box 423, Duncan Falls, OH 43734.
The Paxton family will be together and receive friends at the Masonic Temple on 238 Mound Road after the services at 12:00 pm.
