HILLIS & HARDWICK FUNERAL HOME OBIT:
Joy Ann Parmer, 58 of Zanesville, died 5:00 PM Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice following an extended illness. She was born Saturday, June 7, 1952 in Zanesville, the daughter of William L. Eby and Velva K. (Clark) Eby. Joy was employed in her later life at Interim Home Health Care. She was a loving and caring, mother and grandmother.
Joy is survived by her companion of several years: George Hicks of the home; three sons: Shawn R. Brownfield, Chad E. (Darla) Brownfield and Bernard W. "BJ" (Misty Hamilton) Brownfield all of Zanesville; six grandchildren: Shawnee, Chad Jr., Samantha and Nevaeh Brownfield and Dante and Jasmine Cunningham; one brother: Ronald L. Eby of Windham Maine; two sisters: Sharon K. Davis of Pleasant City and Linda (Rick) Gray of Norwich; several nieces and nephews and her beloved dogs: Pig and Bridgett.
In addition to her parents, Joy was preceded in death by her husband: Al Parmer; one son: Curtis Brownfield and two brothers: Billy and Larry Eby.
Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 12, 2011 at The Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue where Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM with Rev. Bill Briggs officiating. A caring cremation will follow and private Committal Services will follow at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Arthur G.
