ERMA M. FISHER, 90, Philo, passed away at 1:28 pm Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Cedar Hill Care Center, Zanesville.
Erma was born April 16, 1920 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Russell F. and Elsie (Dozer) Williams. She was a member of the Olive Branch Chapter OES #251, Ohio Power Women’s Club for 61 years, two card clubs, Muskingum County PERI, WELCA and Thrivent. She was a member the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Philo. Her church project for 21 years was the annual soup supper where she was known thru out the community for her oyster soup.
Erma is survived by her daughters Shelby (Pete) Smith of Philo and Connie (Nick) Jones of Zanesville; 2 grandchildren Greg (Ronda) Smith and Jeff (Jennifer) Smith; Five great grandchildren, Zachary, Madison, Benjamin, Quinton, and Eli Ka.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Denny E. Fisher Sr. who passed away March 7, 1989 and a son Denny E. Fisher Jr who passed away May 7, 1992 her brothers Junior Williams, Clayton Williams, Harold Dean Williams and a sister Betty E. Werner.
Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Friday at the Thompson-Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be 11 am Saturday March 5, 2011 with Pastor R. Schildbach and Seminarian Bob Sawson officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
Olive Branch OES #251 will hold services at 5:45 pm, Friday.
