THOMPSON-FARUS FUNERAL HOME
Mildred “Millie” Johnson, 95, of Philo, passed away at 8:02 pm Monday March 14, 2011 at her home.
Millie was born October 12, 1915 the daughter of the late George William Winters and Elizabeth (Hupp) Winters. She graduated from Chandlersville High School in 1933, retired in 1985 from Custom Coil Corp where she worked as a winder and she was a member of the Duncan Falls United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sons Richard (Tamara) Johnson of Kansas City, MO, Gary (Lora) Johnson of Warner Robins, GA and a daughter Patty (Bill) Stewart of Philo; her grandchildren Brian L. Stewart, Stacy L. Emory, Tera R. Hensley, Kendra L. Cates, Karey A. Johnson and Priscilla S. Johnson; 8 great grandchildren Timothy E. Savage, Tori L. Emory, Brittany D. Stewart, Brianne N. Stewart, Cody B. Stewart, Allie E. Herrington, Graceline R. Cates and Sylvia P. Cates.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Robert Richard Johnson who passed away Feb. 16, 1990; her sister Mary McConaha and infant twin brother and sister Bernard and Bernice Winters.
Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Thursday, March 17th at the Thompson-Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls, where funeral service will be 1 pm Friday with Pastor Tim Monteith officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
