JOYLEE M. KINKADE, 78, of Blue Avenue, Zanesville, Went to be with the Lord, at 4:59 pm, Sunday March 20, 2011 at Genesis Hospital.
Joylee was born in Zanesville, June 10, 1932, the daughter of the late Robert Bruce and Mary Ruth (Haefner) Grimm. She retired in 1988 from Good Samaritan Hospital where she worked as a phlebotomist. She loved to play bridge and poker and was involved is several card clubs. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and spending time with her grandchildren who held a special place in her heart. She was a faithful member of St.Thomas Aquinas Church, and was on the St. Thomas Prayer Chain for numerous years.
Joylee is survived by her loving husband Robert ‘Bruce’ Kinkade whom she married September 19, 1953; 4 sons Chris (Becky) Kinkade of N.C., Chip Kinkade of Blacklick, OH, Chad Kinkade of Bolivar, OH, Cam (Andrea) Kinkade of Toledo; 2 daughters Casey Smitley of Vero Beach, FL, Cookie Kinkade of Columbus; 17 grandchildren Adam, Zack, Anthony, Katie Lee-Marie, Curt, Nicki, Shawna Dayle, Rusty, Gage, Jessica, Chase, Casey, Josh, Roni, Paula, Nick and Conor; her great-grandchildren Alexander, Opheilia, Dana, Kalina, Leif, Dominic, D’Angelo, Lexie, Kendell, Mathis, Ethan, Malliki, Kingzlee, Raelynn and a very special friend Angie Morrison.
In addition to her parents Joylee is preceded in death by a daughter Cindy Lou Kinkade and two sisters Gloria Ann (Allen) Mason and Bobbie Lou Smith.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Friday, March 25, 2011 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Fr. Pius Pietrzyk, O.P. as celebrant.
