Mary E. Wilson Starrett, 90 of Norwood Blvd., Zanesville, passed away Monday, August 22, 2011 at the Helen Purcell Home.
Mary was born in Crooksville on March 4th 1921; the daughter of the late Sylvanus and Zetta Hides Wilson. She graduated from Crooksville High School and Meredith Business College. She worked for Roy Wilson, CPA until her marriage to Glenn A. Starrett of Duncan Falls on June 28th 1941. During the war she worked for Maurice Knight, a war plant until 1945.
She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church of Philo and she was a 50 year member of Olive Branch OES #251.
She is survived by her loving husband Glenn A. Starrett of 70 years, one son Douglas E. (Taundra) Starrett; three grandchildren Andria (Buck) Wallace, Kara (Jon) Crawford and Alan (Patricia) Starrett; six great grandchildren Austin, Kayla, Brooke, Aubrey, Reese and Owen; and a sister Francis Gene Wilson Whitlatch of Zanesville.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Virginia Lee Wilson.
Visitations will be 10 am to 12 pm Thursday August 25, 2011 at the Thompson-Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be at 12 pm with Pastor R. Schildbach officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery.
