Freda Mary (Brahler) Noll, 104 of Zanesville, formerly of Seborn Ave., died 2:50 PM Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Willow Haven Care Center Zanesville.
She was born Saturday, December 28, 1907 in Noble County the daughter of John and Johannah (Miller) Brahler.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. She served as an organist at St. Mary's Catholic Church, which was next to the Brahler Homestead in Fulda, Ohio. She was hard of hearing to the age of 41 when she regained 90% of her hearing through a then-new surgical procedure. She went on to become an avid bridge player and with her husband, amassed a number of Master Points in bridge tournaments during yearly winter excursions to Naples, Florida in the seventies and eighties. She enjoyed cards at the Zanesville Senior Citizens Group for a number of years and played Euchre with her children and grandchildren most of her life. She was the first women to enter the Abbot Home when it became available to women.
Freda is survived by 2 daughters, Joan and Fritz Weidig, Jane and Dave Pfiefer both of Zanesville; 2 sons, Fred F. & Carole Noll of Zanesville and Thomas B. & Kathy Noll of Naples, FL. ; 11 Grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her Husband, then of 66 years of marriage, Walter F. Noll; 6 brothers and 5 sisters.
Friends may call from 9:30am to 10:25am Monday Sept. 17th at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 925 East Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, following the visitation, on Monday, September 17, 2012 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Father Martin Ralko as celebrant. Burial will conclude in the Mt. Olive Cemetery Zanesville OH .
