Marilyn R. Touvell, 78 of Zanesville, OH died Friday, September 21, 2012 at her residence following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Zanesville, OH the daughter of Meryl K. and Louanna C. (Durant) Moyer.
Marilyn was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church where she served as Eucharistic Minister and funeral server. She retired in 1995 as Treasurer for the Zanesville City School System. She was a volunteer at Genesis Hospital, Cedar Hill Care Center, and was a member of the Golden Girls Luncheon Club Class of 1952 Rosecrans High School.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond M. Touvell Jr. whom she married on April 1, 1977; four daughters: Beth Ann Taylor, Lou Ann (David) Baker, Rayna M.(Tim) Bevins and Audra M. (Ron Oricchio) Touvell; three sons Jeffrey M. (Susan) Schiele, Charles K. Schiele (Dori Confer), and Roger C. (Teresa) Touvell; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marlene A. Peyton and Jeannie (Bill) Good; three brothers Donald (Evelyn) Moyer, William (Vonda) Moyer, Thomas (Denise) Moyer; sister-in-law Judy Moyer; brother and sister-in-laws Brad (Joy) Bradford and Richard (Jeannie) Touvell; and her cherished pet Max.
Preceded in death in addition to her parents and father-in-law, Raymond M. Touvell Sr. were two sons; Gunnery Sgt. David K. Schiele and James W. Touvell; a brother David Moyer; one grandson Douglas B. Taylor; one daughter-in-law, Laura Schiele.
Friends may call 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Christian Vigil at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26th at the Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27th at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 925 East Main Street, Zanesville, OH with Fr. Martin Ralko as celebrant. Burial will conclude in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Zanesville, OH.
