Clarence A. Harnetty, 91 of Zanesville passed away at 8:55AM at Primrose Retirement Community on Friday, November 23, 2012.
He was born in Junction City, Ohio on December 27, 1920 the son of the late William A. Harnetty and Florence Paxton Harnetty. Clarence worked for McGraw Edison as an assembler retiring in 1982. He enjoyed his model A Ford, woodworking, and gardening. Clarence & Jeannette celebrated 70 years of marriage in September.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannette Mills Harnetty. Sons: Michael C. Harnetty, William H. (Hayley) Harnetty. Daughters Martha C. (Harold) Newsom and Ellen Sue (Martin) Nash. Brothers: Paul “Gene” (Marilyn) Harnetty and Francis Harnetty. Also surviving are his 7 grandchildren Kathy Iczkowski, Paul, John and Patrick Harnetty, John Brian and Eric Nash, 17 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents Clarence is preceded in death by his sisters Marie Beard and Margaret Schmehl and his brothers Robert, James, and Charles Samuel Harnetty,
The family is being served by the BRYAN & SNIDER FUNERAL HOME, 2318 Maple Avenue. Where visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Sunday, November 25, 2012. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, November 26, at St. Thomas Catholic Church 144 North 5th Street Zanesville, OH 43701. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Zanesville. The Family requests and prefers donations to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
