Cookie Marple Pride Cogswell, 64, of Duncan Falls passed away at 8:52 pm Friday, November 23, 2012, at her home in Duncan Falls.
Cookie was born July 28, 1948 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Bernard and Wilma (Hanning) Marple. She previously worked for Conns Potato Chips and for American Nursing Care for over 20 years before becoming an independent LPN. She also served on the Harrison Township EMS from 1985 to 1994.
Cookie is survived by her husband Donald Cogswell whom she married October 18, 2004, a son Rich (Anita) Pride Jr. of Philo, a daughter Sharon K. (Michael) Silvus of Philo and a son in her heart Charles W. Marple of East Fultonham; two step sons; Jason (Michelle) Cogswell and Justin “Snap” Cogswell; 6 grandchildren Tasha (Craig) Westfall, Richie (Megan) Pride, Cody Pride, Katie Pride, Zach Silvus and Catlyn (Neal) Silvus, her step-grandchildren Kylie, Dakota, Mickel, Chase, Hunter, and Sophia, her mother-in-law Lucy Stalnaker, many nieces, nephews and her beloved pets Mink, Lady, Scooby and Buster.
In addition to her parents, Cookie is preceded in death by her 1st husband Richard C. Pride Sr. who passed away December 3, 2000 after 36 years of marriage, a brother Charles W. Marple and 2 sisters Mary Ann Jennings and Janie Morris.
Visitations will be 4 to 6 pm Monday November 26, 2012 at the Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls where a memorial service will be 6 pm with Rev. Terry Rowland officiating. A gather of friends will be at the Harrison Township Fire Department after the services.
