Bernard E. Echelberry, 88, of Zanesville passed away at 9:00 am on December 24, 2012 at Cedar Hill Care Center in Zanesville.
Bernard was born April 25, 1924 in Chandlersville the son of the late Floyd and Maud Echelberry. He retired in 1985 where he worked as a cart servicer for Brockway Glass, he was a member of the Richvale Grange and the Pomona Grange and he was a member of the Muskingum Presbyterian Church.
Bernard is survived by his sons Roger Echelberry of Zanesville, Stephen and Cynthia Echelberry of Frazeysburg and David & Bobbie Echelberry of Chandlersville; his step-daughter JoAnn Clements of Zanesville and 5 Grandchildren Matthew (Sherri) Echelberry, Rebecca (Chris) Cade, Mary Echelberry, Daniel Echelberry and Phillip Echelberry and 4 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Bernard is preceded in death by his wife I. Bernice Echelberry who passed away February 25, 2001; his two brothers Charles and Lewis Echelberry and his sister Grace Regal.
Visitations will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Thursday December 27th 2012 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 11 am Friday Dec 28th with Pastor Stephen Harrop He will be laid to rest beside his wife in Memorial Park Cemetery.
