A beautiful, caring soul Mary Frances (Josselyn) Devlin went to be with her Lord, Sunday, June 23, 2013, at the young age of 85 surrounded by her family. She was full of life and fought a courageous battle. Her loving heart and eternal optimism will be greatly missed.
Left to carry on her memory are 8 children, Linda Speakman and Ronnie, Mike (Colleen) Devlin, David (Maria) Devlin, Jackie (Butch) Cogswell, Connie (Phil) Mayle, Marie (Steve) Hughes, Barbara (Jeff) McCormick and Teresa (Tom) Lichner.
29 grandchildren which include Misty (Jamie) Jewell, Jason McCormick, Paul (Tina) Mayle, Annie (Carl) Mayle, Angie (Jeff) Presgraves, Savannah (Brad) Cogar, James Roberts, Marc Shultz, Lisa Shultz, Mark Devlin, Michelle (Jason) McNutt, Stephanie Smith, Joe (Bobbi) Devlin, Michael Devlin and Niki Devlin.
Sisters and brothers June (David) Curry, Gerald (Doris) Silvers, Jimmy (Faye) Silvers, Mike (Betty Silvers and Paul (Betty) Silvers.
Her special friends Pat and Jeanann McNieish, Lori and Lisa.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband Leonard Devlin who passed away in 1995; her brothers Jack and Charlie Silvers; her sister Barb Rush; her daughter in law Debbi Devlin and two grandchildren.
She loved shopping with her daughters making cornbread in her favorite iron skillet, cooking and eating her favorite meal beans and cornbread, seeing the ducks, going to the country, listening to and watching the church channel, and movies. She enjoyed talking on the phone and talking to her brothers and sister. She loved her trip to California to visit with her son and family. She also loved to listen to country music especially her favorite song Jesus Hold my Hand. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family.
Memorial contributions may be made to any of her favorite organizations which include St. Judes, The 700 Club, Paralyzed Veterans and the Veterans for the Blind.
Visitations will be 10 to 12 pm Thursday, June 26, 2013 at the Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 12 noon with Pastor Marc Caton officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mary Frances’ family were the pride and joy of her life. She never met a stranger and would do anything she could to help anyone. The legacy of Marys loving heart, beautiful spirit and strength will live on through her family and friends. Mary will be missed but never forgotten.
