Marjorie (Embrey) Hinkle, age 85, of Lancaster, passed away October 6, 2013 at Fairfield Medical Center. She was born March 19, 1928 in Redfield, OH, to her late parents, Earl and Vaughn (Conaway) Embrey. She was a member of Saltillo U.M.C. and a 59 year member of Carnation Chapter #167 of the Eastern Stars. She is retired from Perry County Community School. Marjorie was an avid Canal Winchester Football Fan. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lana Kay and Dwight Hoover; son and daughter-in-law, David (Doc) and Marsha Hinkle; grandchildren, Shawn and Molly Hinkle, Shannon and Aaron McKisson, Aaron and Erica Hoover, Mindi and Michael Oberholzer, Akia Hoover and Terry Evans, Derek Hinkle and Doug and Casey Hinkle; great-grandchildren, Leigh, Jessica, Bethany, Sydney, Hunter and Callie Hinkle, Charlee McKisson, Jack, Seth and Lucy Oberholzer and Elizabeth, Hannah and Jase Hoover; sister, Polly Hinkle; brother and sister-in-law, Roy “Butch” and Barbara Embrey; sister-in-law, June Embrey and Alvah (Carl) Kelly. She was also preceded in death by loving husband, Lee “Buddy” Hinkle; son, Kevin; sister, Helen Bookman and brothers, Robert, Ned, Earl Jr. and Ted Embrey. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 207 BURLEY ST. CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the funeral home with Aaron McKisson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Horeb Cemetery.
