Nancy Charlene (Roush) Wheeler passed away December 4, 2013 following a valiant battle with cancer.
Nancy was born November 27, 1937 in Mason County, West Virginia, the daughter of Harold W. and Eleanor I. (Jividen) Roush. In 1940, the family moved to Muskingum County, Ohio where her father and grandfather were coal miners. She attended Franklin Local Schools and graduated from Philo High School class of 1955. On September 1, 1956, she married classmate Kenneth H. Wheeler to whom she was married for more than 57 years.
She is survivied by her son William H. and Christine L. (Dietrich) Wheeler. Her daughter Elizabeth M. (Marc Glickman, deceased) Wheeler. Her grandchildren are Kristin A.(Wheeler) Deem, William H. (Karen Madden) Wheeler II, and grandson Brandyn J. Wheeler-Glickman, Great-grandaughters Roxanna and Gabriella Deem and Audrey and Kate Wheeler. Special people who survive her are Brent Tracey and his son Tyler Tracey whom she considered as her own. She is also survived by her two sisters, Phyllis (John A.) Davis and Bonnie Tracey (James Tracey, deceased).
She was a life-long member of St. John Lutheran Church of Philo. The great things of her life were her home, her family and her Lord.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Christ Table, 28 S. 6th St., Zanesville.
Calling hours will be 5 – 7 P.M. Friday, December 6 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W. MILITARY RD. a Memorial Service will be held at 7 with Pastor Mark Matzke of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Zanesville Memorial Park at a later date.
